Pura Vida case study distributed through Harvard Publishing
Harvard Publishing distributes a multimedia case study on the Pura Vida charitable model to business schools across the country. Co-founders Sage and Dearnley are regularly invited to lecture and teach on the subjects of social enterprise and sustainable philanthropy and return to Harvard every fall to update students and faculty on Pura Vida developments.
Disseminate key findings, materials and lessons through workshops, forums and lectures
Pura Vida co-founders and senior managers regularly accept speaking engagements throughout the year, averaging more than 30 public presentations each year. Co-founder John Sage has spoken at Social Venture Partners, Investors’ Circle, Social Enterprise Group, Harvard Business School, First Presbyterian Church, Boulder, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University and many other venues in the past several years. Articles on the company, business model and unique investment strategies have appeared in Stanford Social Innovation Review, BusinessWeek, U.S. News and World Reports, and numerous other publications. Mentor undergraduate and graduate level students
Pura Vida has hosted or provided on-site learning and mentoring opportunities for over 45 students and project teams. In addition, more than 120 students have visited Central American locations over the past three years.
